We were rescued by a wonderful lady from Furry Kids who took my babies and a foster husband and wife took me and I am living the life of Riley. I get plenty to eat and get treats several times a day. It sure is better here than in my previous life living off table scraps and living outside in a collapsed barn. My foster parents cannot say enough good things about me. I am completely housetrained and love to either cuddle with them on the sofa or lay on a pillow beside their bed. No more going to bed hungry and cold as I did in my previous life. Believe it or not I don't have that Beagle bark and seldom bark. I must go to a home with a fenced yard as I still have that Beagle instinct. I do well with my 8 foster siblings and their cat. I am tri-colored and weigh a healthy 35 pounds. I can adapt to any situation and am more than willing to join your family and make your family complete. Approx DOB: 12/23/2012 Approx Current Weight: 61 lbs. $150 adoption fee includes a 2 week trial to ensure everyone's happiness! Bates is a gorgeous, shiny black coated Lab !! Bates and his brother Branson were dumped on family's property in the country. Unable to keep the dogs themselves and unable to find the owners, the family contacted Furry Kids' Refuge for help. We took them in and have found them to be wonderful Labs. Bates just loves all the other dogs he plays with during play time in our private boarding facility. The only problem he has with other dogs is if they get in his food, so he will need to be fed separately to keep the ... (Read More)peace! We can't guarantee he is housebroke because he is in boarding BUT we can tell you he keeps his area soil free. Bates is a big, loving, goof ball who just loves everyone around him. We think he will do best in a home that can provide him with plenty of exercise and play time....a fenced yard where he can run around to his heart's content would be ideal! He is very energetic and is still very much a puppy....so he will need some training to become the great dog he is meant to be! He really wants to please us so that makes it easier training him. Bates is going to be a really big boy when he finally fills out his lanky frame and stops growing........normally by 18 months for big dogs.
